The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in freight forwarding and logistics, with strong exposure to project cargo handling, Incoterms, and documentation. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Logistics, Commerce, or related field.

• Strong knowledge of project cargo / heavy lift operations.
• Familiar with Incoterms and shipping processes.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarding Executive with 57 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics, preferably with strong exposure to project cargo handling. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end logistics activities with vendors, logistics partners, vessel agents, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely movement of cargo.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end freight forwarding and project cargo operations.
• Coordinate with various vendors, transporters, logistics partners, shipping lines, and vessel agents.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams such as procurement, sales, documentation, finance, and project teams.
• Manage shipment planning, booking, documentation, tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Coordinate vessel schedules, cargo readiness, loading/unloading, and shipment status.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and verification of import/export documentation.
• Handle and review documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Delivery Order, and other shipping/import documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Incoterms and understand their commercial and operational implications.
• Liaise with customs brokers, CHA/clearing agents, ports, shipping lines, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve operational issues or delays.
• Obtain freight rates and coordinate with service providers and vendors for competitive logistics solutions.
• Maintain proper shipment records, documentation, and MIS reports.
• Ensure smooth communication between customers, vendors, shipping agents, and internal stakeholders.
• Support cost control, freight reconciliation, and timely closure of shipments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 57 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or project cargo operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of Project Cargo / Heavy Lift / ODC cargo handling will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of Incoterms and international shipping processes.
• Sound knowledge of import/export documentation and procedures.
• Experience coordinating with vessel agents, shipping lines, transporters, freight forwarders, customs/CHA, and other logistics partners.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office/Excel and logistics documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

Immediate joiners / candidates with a short notice period will be given priority.

Candidates with hands-on experience in project cargo, vessel coordination, import documentation, and end-to-end freight forwarding operations are preferred.
