Job summary

• Experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics.
• Strong network of market-hired transporters and fleet owners.
• Ability to source and allocate vehicles (e.g., 20 FT, 32 FT, containers, ODC).
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in planning and coordinating vehicle movements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely placement of vehicles as per customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain a network of transporters across India.
• Source and allocate vehicles including various truck types.
• Negotiate freight rates while maintaining service quality.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and customer service for daily planning.
• Prepare vehicle placement MIS and vendor performance reports.
• Onboard new transport vendors to strengthen the network.
• Optimize costs while keeping high service levels.

Job Summary

IP Integrated Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Fleet Manager to manage vehicle placement, fleet operations, and vendor development across Pan India. The candidate should have strong market knowledge, an extensive transporter/vendor network, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to ensure timely vehicle availability for PTL, FTL, and ODC movements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely placement of vehicles as per customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of market-hired transporters and fleet owners across India.
• Source vehicles including 20 FT, 32 FT SXL, 32 FT MXL, Trailer, Container, Taurus, Open Trucks, and ODC vehicles.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates while maintaining service quality.
• Build long-term relationships with transport vendors and fleet owners.
• Ensure vehicle availability during peak demand periods.
• Monitor vehicle movement, transit status, and on-time delivery performance.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams for daily vehicle planning.
• Resolve vehicle shortages, delays, and operational issues promptly.
• Prepare daily vehicle placement reports, MIS, and vendor performance reports.
• Identify and onboard new transport vendors to strengthen the company's transportation network.
• Ensure cost optimization while maintaining high service levels.

Required Skills

• Excellent knowledge of fleet operations and transportation management.
• Strong vendor base and market contacts for hired vehicles.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Good understanding of freight market rates.
• Ability to work under pressure and arrange vehicles at short notice.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience: 310 years in Fleet Management, Transportation, or Logistics.
• Experience in PTL, FTL, ODC, and Express Logistics will be preferred.
• Prior experience with 3PL logistics companies is an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

• Minimum: 12th Pass
• Preferred: Graduate in any discipline.
