Job summary

Aptiv Connection Systems India in Kochi is seeking a Tool Designer to design and develop press tools, progressive dies, and stamping dies. You will create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings and coordinate with production, tool room, and quality teams during tool development.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in tool design, proficiency in NX/CAD tools, and a strong understanding of sheet metal forming and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Post Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Tool Design, Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Press Tool / Stamping Die Design.
• Proficiency in NX, CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal forming processes, GD&T, and tooling manufacturing practices.
• Experience in Plastic Injection Mold Design.

Tool Designer - Press Tools / Stamping Dies

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop press tools, progressive dies, and stamping dies.
• Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings.

Qualification

Diploma / Post Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Tool Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Press Tool / Stamping Die Design.
• Hands‑on experience in designing Progressive Dies, Compound Dies, and Sheet Metal Stamping Tools.
• Proficiency in NX, CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal forming processes, GD& T, and tooling manufacturing practices.
• Experience in Plastic Injection Mold Design.
