Job summary

JobItUs in Bhilad, Gujarat, is seeking a Tool & Die Maker with 3-8 years of experience in fine blanking to develop and maintain dies for 400T and 1000T presses.

You will read drawings, assemble and validate tools, perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, and contribute to tool life improvement and process optimization.

Experience with VMC, grinding, EDM/Wire Cut is advantageous; independence in new tool development and tool maintenance is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with fine blanking dies and tooling.
• Knowledge of progressive/compound die construction and maintenance.
• Understanding of die components, punches, inserts and tool clearances.
• Ability to identify burrs, dimensional variations and wear on tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manufacture and commission new fine blanking tools/dies for 400T and 1000T presses.
• Read and interpret tool drawings, part drawings and specifications.
• Carry out tool assembly, fitting, trial, correction and validation.
• Undertake preventive and breakdown maintenance of fine blanking tools.
• Identify tool wear, failure and perform repair, modification and reconditioning.
• Maintain tool accuracy, clearance and performance for quality and tool life.
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Production, Quality and Engineering teams.
• Maintain tool history, repair records and documentation.
• Support tool life improvement, cycle-time reduction and process improvement.
• Ensure safe working practices and proper maintenance of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manufacture and commissionnew fine blanking tools/diesfor 400T and 1000T presses.
