Job Title: Tooling Engineer-Stamping

Job Summary

The Tooling Engineer is responsible for developing, and maintaining tooling and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical engineering, proficiency in CAD software, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop tooling, molds, and fixtures for manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, and assembly.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed designs and drawings of tooling components and assemblies.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of tooling designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, production, and quality assurance to ensure tooling designs meet requirements and standards.
• Optimize existing tooling designs to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Specify materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes for tooling components based on functional requirements and operational constraints.
• Develop and maintain documentation including design drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and operating procedures.
• Participate in tooling trials, debugging activities, and process validations to ensure successful implementation and functionality.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for tooling-related issues during production.

Qualifications

• Experience:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 2D and 3D modeling.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, and machining.
  • Knowledge of materials selection, properties, and manufacturing tolerances.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems related to tooling and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
