Job summary

Aditya Birla Group is seeking a Deputy Manager for TM Site Execution - Evara to oversee project planning, strategy, and execution at a key site. The role involves coordinating with the PMC and contractors to ensure layouts match GFC drawings, organizing preliminary work, and maintaining compliance across safety and QA processes.

The incumbent will supervise resources, prepare baselines with the Site Manager, and support FM during handover, addressing defects within the defect liability period.

Qualifications

• Experience in project planning and strategy within large site construction projects.
• Ability to organize preliminary work and secure site utilities.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and PMc to align layouts with drawings.

Responsibilities

• Identify delays by comparing site survey and liaison survey and resolve discrepancies.
• Organize and complete preliminary work including boundary wall, security office, project office, water and electricity connections.
• Verify layouts against GFC drawings and adjust with architect and contractor as needed.
• Ensure site work follows approved GFC drawings and prepare baseline schedule with contractor and Site Manager.
• Ensure availability of resources and prevent delays by completing pre-commencement tasks.
• Evaluate contractor resource allocations and monitor deployment per plan.
• Maintain compliance registers and track licenses nearing expiry.
• Raise RFIs for changes in specifications and ensure timely closure.
• Organize safety training and maintain safety equipment and checklists.
• Monitor customization and snag removal during handover and support FM services.

Job Description:

Project Planning and Strategy

• Identify potential delays in mobilization by detecting discrepancies between the site survey and liaison survey, and resolve these issues
• Organize and complete preliminary work, including the construction of a temporary boundary wall, security office, project office, and the establishment of water and electricity connections

Project Execution and Control

• Verify that the project layout matches the GFC (Good For Construction) drawings and, in case of any discrepancies pointed out by the architect, collaborate with the PMC and contractor to adjust the layout accordingly
• Ensure that all site work is executed according to the approved GFC drawings
• Assist in preparing the baseline schedule in coordination with the contractor and the Site Manager
• Ensure the availability of resources and the completion of pre-commencement tasks to prevent delays
• Evaluate the organizational chart submitted by contractors and ensure resource allocation aligns with project requirements
• Follow up with contractors to ensure adequate resource deployment according to the plan

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Maintain Compliance register & all other supporting documents
• Track and proactively inform RO about permission/licenses which are expiring
• Raise the RFI in case of requirement of change in specifications from the architect and ensure timely closure

Safety Management

• Organize safety training for the PMC, contractors, and on-site staff, and ensure that adequate safety equipment is available at the site
• Create and maintain a safety checklist for the site and ensure it is consistently followed

Project Handover

• Monitor the execution of customizations and the removal of snags by the contractor to ensure minimal snag points at the time of handover
• Support CRM by providing necessary details for the finalization of Facility Management (FM) services
• Coordinate with the FM team to address and rectify complaints within the defect liability period
