Job summary

Hero MotoCorp in Dehradun (Plant Operations) seeks a Team Manager - Al Phase CC to lead production and manpower in the Crankcase section. You will align with cost, quality and timeline standards while driving TPM and IMS initiatives.

The role requires 4–6 years in mechanical manufacturing, with strong shop-floor and CNC/robotic exposure. You will work in a high-paced environment focused on continuous improvement and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• B. Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 4-6 years of experience in Machine shop.
• Experience in managing production and manpower in a machine shop setting.
• Knowledge of TPM, JIT, FMEA, 5S and shop floor management tools.

Responsibilities

• Create production plan to achieve targets with minimal defects.
• Reduce defects to improve customer satisfaction and product quality.
• Maintain healthy employee relations and motivate team to avoid ER issues.
• Sustain and accelerate TPM activities.
• Achieve IMS and EnMS objectives by following established systems and procedures.

Role

As a Team Manager - Al Phase CC, you will be a part of Machine Shop Department.Your will be responsible to manage the Production as well as manpower in Crankcase to achieve production targets in line with defined cost, quality & timeline standards.

A purpose driven role for you

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Create the Production plan to achieve production targets without any failure.
• To reduce/eliminate flow of defects at customer end to improve straight pass of the department as well as improving customer satisfaction
• Maintaining a healthy employee relationship by motivating them to avoid any chances of ER issues.
• Sustenance & Accelerating TPM activities
• To achieve IMS and EnMS objectives through adherence of systems and procedures for resource conservation in Section

A Day in the life

• As per production plan, PPC team provide the material on line after communication
• Motivate team to achieve production targets within standard time frame with defined cost & quality
• DWM meeting at Engine Assy. & brainstorming for the defects & same to be communicated with team
• To ensure communication with team members to control the defect stage wise
• Daily/Weekly communication with team members regarding their personal or professional issues
• Daily reviewing the work performance & motivating them for their work for best work performance individually.
• Analysing the Gaps in JH pillar activity progress & timely validating countermeasures JH Pillar meeting schedule adherence
• Organising weekly JH meeting for ongoing Pillar activities & pillar KPIs & KAIs

Academic Qualification & Experience

B. Tech / B.Ein Mechanical Engineering with 4-6 years of experience in Machine shop
