Job summary

Hero MotoCorp, India's leading motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, invites applications for a Team Manager in Engine Assembly - Quality. Based in the Plant, you will ensure defect-free products, lead a small quality team, and drive CTQ and process capability improvements.

Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant in the two-wheeler sector is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant in the 2-wheeler industry.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP; knowledge of QC tools and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute Engine Assembly activities to ensure first-time-right quality.
• Analyze internal and external failures (rework, rejection, market issues, warranty) and drive improvement projects.
• Audit and improve Critical to Quality (CTQ) stages and machine capability.
• Lead and develop the quality team to sustain defect-free production.

As the Team Manager you will be part of the Engine Assy - Quality Team and will report to the Section Head - Engine Plant Quality
The purpose of your role will be to ensure defect Free Product/ Processes in engine Assy.

A purpose driven role for you

Ensure manufacturing of high quality products to
ensure compliance with global standards
Analysis of internal failures (rework,
rejection, MI/FI defects) and external failures
(market issues, warranty)
Identify/execute improvement projects
Identify and audit Critical to Quality Stages.
Evaluate Process and Machine Capability
Implementation of QM Matrix of CTQ
Machine.
Effective Functioning of CTQ Machines.

To plan, coordinate and execute the activities in the Engine Assy in order to Produce the First Time right Quality

Academic Qualification & Experience

Diploma / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
Min 03-05 year experience in Manufacturing plant in 2 Wheeler industry

Technical Skills/Knowledge

1.MS Office, SAP .
3. Understanding of Quality Systems , Usage of QC Tools , PFMEA , SPC , Why Why Analysis etc.
4. Through Knowledge of Drawings , GD&T , Machining operations .

Behavioural Skills

1. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
