Job summary

Hero MotoCorp Ltd. seeks an Team Manager in Engine Assy - Quality to ensure defect-free products and processes in engine assembly. You will lead quality improvements, coordinate CPTQ audits, and drive quality across the production line.

The role requires a Diploma/BTech in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years in a manufacturing plant in the 2-wheeler sector, plus strong QC tool knowledge and SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant in the 2-wheeler industry.
• Knowledge of QC tools and quality systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyse internal and external failures and drive improvements.
• Identify and execute improvement projects to reduce defects.
• Audit CTQ stages and ensure their Critical to Quality status.
• Evaluate process and machine capability for quality targets.
• Implement QM Matrix of CTQ Machine to strengthen quality control.
• Ensure effective functioning of CTQ machines.

As the Team Manager you will be part of the Engine Assy - Quality Team and will report to the Section Head - Engine Plant Quality
The purpose of your role will be to ensure defect Free Product/ Processes in engine Assy.

• Analysis of internal failures (rework, rejection, MI/FI defects) and external failures (market issues, warranty)
• Identify/execute improvement projects
• Identify and audit Critical to Quality Stages.
• Evaluate Process and Machine Capability
• Implementation of QM Matrix of CTQ Machine.
• Effective Functioning of CTQ Machines.

To plan, coordinate and execute the activities in the Engine Assy in order to Produce the First Time right Quality

Academic Qualification & Experience

Diploma / BTech in Mechanical Engineering

Min 03-05 year experience in Manufacturing plant in 2 Wheeler industry

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• 1.MS Office, SAP .
• 3. Understanding of Quality Systems , Usage of QC Tools , PFMEA , SPC , Why Why Analysis etc.
• 4. Through Knowledge of Drawings , GD&T , Machining operations .

Behavioural Skills
