You will lead cross-functional teams, analyze defects, drive Kaizen-based improvements, and implement CTQ-driven controls to ensure defect-free ramp-ups and customer satisfaction in a high-volume plant.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in Mechanical.
  • 3–8 years in automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier with floor-operations experience.
  • Experience managing production floor operations in an automotive setting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure manufacturing of high quality products in line with global standards for engine components.
  • Analyze internal/external failures and lead improvement projects.
  • Plan and lead quality improvement activities impacting build-up quality.
  • Identify and audit Critical to Quality stages; evaluate process and machine capability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve chronic defects using structured methodologies.
  • Support flexible production systems to enable defect-free ramp-up of new models.

Plant Manufacturing Quality - Machine shop Team Manager Function Plant Operations Pay Band E4 to M2 Role

As the Plant Manufacturing Quality - Machne shop Team Manager you will be part of the Manufacturing Quality team of Plant operations and will report to Section Head - QA (Engine Plant). The purpose of your role is to Ensure Adherence To Quality Standards & System By Evaluation & Improvement Of The Product & Process Quality To Ensure Overall Customer Satisfaction A purpose driven role for you

Your key responsibilities will include, Ensure manufacturing of high quality products to ensure compliance with global standards (Left Crank Case, Right Drank Case, Cyl Head, Left & Right Cr Shaft, Con Rod & Cyl Block) Engine Assembly Knowledge. Analysis of internal failures (rework, rejection, MI/FI defects) and external failures (market issues, warranty) Identify/execute improvement projects Periodic review of projects & KPIs.Plan and Lead Quality improvement activities and Initiatives impacting 'Build Up Quality'. Identify and audit Critical to Quality Stages. Evaluate Process and Machine Capability Implementation of QM Matrix of CTQ Machine. Effective Functioning of CTQ Machines. Analyse deviations, identify/execute improvement projects & periodic reviews Support in building a flexible production system designed to ensure smooth mass production, pre-empt losses, and defect free launch/ramp-up of new models.

Academic Qualification & Experience

Academic Qualification BE/B.Tech In Mechanical | Automobile Industry Relevant Experience Typically 3~8 Years In An Automotive OEM Or Tier-1 Supplier, With Proven Experience Managing Floor Operations. Targeted Companies :- TVS | Mahindra & Mahindra | TATA Motors etc..
