Job summary

Enginemates Heat Transfer in Mumbai is seeking a Thermal Design & Proposal Engineer with hands-on experience in designing and preparing proposals for air-cooled heat exchangers in the oil & gas sector. You will perform thermal design, preliminary mechanical design, equipment selection, and techno-commercial offers, while supporting clients and EPC consultants.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, strong knowledge of thermal design and HTRI software, familiarity with ASME Sec-VIII

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of thermal design principles and proficiency in HTRI software.
• Familiarity with ASME Sec-VIII Div-I / II codes for mechanical design.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in thermal design and proposal engineering for heat exchangers.
• Experience in oil & gas sector projects, preferably with EPC contractors.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and techno-commercial proposals.
• Proficiency in MS Office and engineering design tools.

Responsibilities

• Select rotary equipment, electrical equipment, and instruments as per project requirements.

• Estimate equipment costs and prepare detailed techno-commercial quotations.
• Engage in discussions with clients to finalize design and scope of supply.
• Provide pre- and post-order technical support to end users and EPC consultants.
