What you will do
- Perform thermal‑hydraulic design calculations and analysis for new and existing heat exchangers.
- Review and design the mechanical aspects of heat exchangers to ensure compliance with standards and operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot performance and leakage issues in heat exchangers and recommend effective solutions.
- Monitor heat exchanger performance, identify issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Review and evaluate vendor design packages for compliance and quality.
- Design reboilers and condensers for various process applications.
- Apply working knowledge of mechanical design principles for pressure vessels.
- Travel up to 10% for site visits or vendor fabrication shops.
About You
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in thermal and mechanical design of heat exchangers.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical responsible roles in heat transfer engineering, surveillance, and inspection activities in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience with design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of various heat exchanger types, including shell and tube, air‑cooled, and plate‑type.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes such as TEMA, API 660/661, ASME Section VIII Divisions 1 & 2.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools including HTRI, ASPEN EDR, Pro‑II, HYSYS, and PV‑Elite.
Preferred Qualifications/Experiences
- Detailed design knowledge of pressure vessels, piping, and valves.
