Job summary

Eventstrat is seeking a QA Automation engineer to design and implement test automation frameworks from scratch. You will develop automated test suites for functional, regression, and integration testing across web, API, and mobile platforms, while establishing testing standards across teams.

You will execute manual testing for complex workflows, perform API and database checks, and contribute to performance testing and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Proven experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, Cypress).
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.

Job description

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Execute manual testing for complex user workflows and edge cases
• Perform API testing, database testing, and system integration validation
• Conduct performance testing to ensure scalability and reliability
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Work closely with developers to understand requirements and system architecture
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability aspects
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation
• Collaborate on test-driven development practices and quality gates

Process Improvement

• Analyze testing processes and recommend improvements for efficiency
• Research and evaluate new testing tools and technologies
• Mentor team members on testing methodologies and automation techniques
• Contribute to quality metrics reporting and analysis

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in software testing and test automation
• Proven experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, etc.)
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies

Core Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
• Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows

Technical Knowledge

• Proficiency in SQL for database testing and data validation
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing in cloud environments
• Background in SaaS or event management technology solutions
• Understanding of security testing principles and practices
