Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for the position of “Territory Manager” to drive the sales strategy and achieve business goals within designated region, execute the product management team’s strategies, gather customer feedback, and provide crucial insights for new product development. The role focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with key opinion leaders, monitoring competitor information, and understanding prescription trends. Additionally, you will organize and manage Continuing Medical Education (CME) events and other initiatives to bolster the company’s brand image.
Roles & Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the promotion of the new product. You will execute the Product Management Team’s marketing strategy, analyse market trends, consult with doctors on new product potential, and relay feedback to the Product Management Team. Responsibilities also include identifying key opinion leaders, monitoring product availability, and implementing brand strategies to facilitate a successful product launch.
- You will monitor primary and secondary sales through regular visits to stockists and pharmacies, ensure accomplishment of doctor and product-specific sales objectives, participate in monthly review meetings to assess coverage, adherence to SOPs, and expense management to achieve targets.
- You will focus on customer relationship management, establishing strong connections and addressing queries promptly, classifying customers by potential, determining meeting frequency, and tracking return on investment per customer to foster loyalty.
- You will meet Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and Key Business Leaders (KEL) to pursue CME opportunities with the company; collect interest areas of key customers and hospitals and conduct CMEs on those topics.
- You will prepare product matrices based on doctors’ potential and preferences and decide which products fit doctors’ needs. Update data on chemists, doctors and Retail Chemist Prescription Audit (RCPA) through palm top to the Unnati portal to ensure stakeholders have access to latest information.
Qualifications
- Educational qualification: Graduate with science background.
- Minimum work experience: 6 months of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
- Skills & attributes:
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of pharmaceutical products and marketing; experience in implementing and analysing sales and marketing strategies; basic knowledge of computers.
- Behavioural Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build and leverage relationships; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong decision-making skills.
