Job summary

Rathi Engineering & Infra Private Limited is seeking an experienced Tender Manager to lead the end-to-end tendering process for Hydro Power and Civil Infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing and managing technical and commercial bids, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely submission of compliant tenders for government and private sector projects.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
  • MBA/PGDM in Construction Management is an added advantage.
  • 10–15 years of tendering experience in hydro power, civil construction, or EPC.

Responsibilities

  • Identify tender opportunities through government/private portals and agencies.
  • Review NITs, BOQs, drawings, and contract conditions for bids.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for bid preparation and submission.
  • Prepare cost estimates, rate analyses, and commercial pricing.
  • Ensure timely arrangement of bid documents and compliance requirements.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and respond to client queries.
  • Maintain tender database and analyze bid results for improvement.

Job Summary

Rathi Engineering & Infra Private Limited is seeking an experienced Tender Manager to lead the end-to-end tendering process for Hydro Power and Civil Infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing and managing technical and commercial bids, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely submission of compliant tenders for government and private sector projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate tender opportunities through GeM, CPPP, State e-Procurement Portals, NHPC, SJVN, THDC, NHAI, BRO, CPWD, PWD, and other government/private organizations.
  • Review Notice Inviting Tenders (NIT), BOQs, drawings, specifications, contract conditions, and technical documents.
  • Conduct Go/No-Go analysis based on project feasibility, eligibility criteria, commercial viability, and company capability.
  • Prepare and manage complete technical and commercial bids in compliance with tender requirements.
  • Coordinate with estimation, engineering, planning, procurement, finance, legal, and project teams for bid preparation.
  • Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis, resource planning, and commercial pricing for Hydro and Infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure timely arrangement of EMDs, Bank Guarantees, affidavits, statutory documents, and other bid-related requirements.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, prepare technical clarifications, and respond to client queries.
  • Maintain communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the bidding process.
  • Monitor tender amendments, corrigenda, and submission deadlines.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of ongoing and submitted tenders, bid status, and project records.
  • Analyze bid results, identify improvement areas, and implement strategies to improve the bid success rate.
  • Coordinate with the Contracts Department for smooth handover of awarded projects.
Educational Qualification
  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
  • MBA/PGDM in Construction Management or Project Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
  • 10-15 years of experience in tendering for Hydro Power, Civil Construction, Infrastructure, or EPC Projects.
  • Proven experience in handling government and private sector tenders from bid identification to project award.
  • Strong knowledge of Hydro Power projects including dams, tunnels, powerhouses, intake structures, penstocks, surge shafts, and associated civil works.
  • Experience with large-value EPC and item-rate contracts is preferred.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, contract administration, and procurement processes.
  • Expertise in BOQ preparation, estimation, quantity analysis, and rate analysis.
  • Sound understanding of FIDIC, GCC, SCC, CPWD, PWD, NHPC, SJVN, THDC, and EPC contract conditions.
  • Hands-on experience with GeM, CPPP, and various e-tendering portals.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders under strict deadlines.
