Job summary

Drlogy Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Indore invites a skilled Technician - OT Pathology to support surgical specimen handling and processing in the pathology workflow.

You will assist clinical and pathology teams with identification, documentation, safe handling, transportation, and adherence to quality and safety procedures. The role encompasses preparing OT areas, receiving specimens, verifying IDs, labeling, coordinating with surgeons, ensuring preservation, and maintaining detailed records.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in OT pathology or related field.
• Diploma required.
• All Gender allowed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OT area and required materials for specimen handling.
• Receive and handle surgical specimens according to approved procedures.
• Verify patient identification and specimen details.
• Ensure correct labeling of specimens and containers.
• Coordinate with surgeons and OT staff regarding specimen requirements.
• Ensure appropriate preservation and handling of specimens.
• Maintain specimen records and tracking documentation.
• Coordinate timely transportation of specimens to the pathology laboratory.
• Follow procedures for histopathology and other pathology specimens.
• Report discrepancies in patient identification or specimen labeling immediately.
• Maintain specimen traceability throughout the process.
• Assist pathology staff with specimen-related requirements as assigned.
• Maintain appropriate storage conditions for specimens where applicable.
• Follow infection-control and biomedical safety procedures.
• Handle chemicals, preservatives, and specimen containers safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of specimen-handling areas.
• Maintain accurate registers, checklists, and documentation.
• Coordinate with laboratory, OT, nursing, and medical teams.
• Support pathology audits and quality-control activities.
• Follow hospital SOPs, patient-safety, and confidentiality requirements.
