Job summary

Drlogy Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Technician - OT Ortho to support orthopedic surgical procedures at our Indore facility. The role involves preparing the OT, ensuring sterile conditions, and coordinating with surgical teams and CSSD.

The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of OT experience, diplomas in related nursing fields, and a strong focus on infection control and documentation. Work is in-office with full-time employment and standard hospital SOP adherence.

Qualifications

  • Experience in OT/operative theatre environments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the orthopedic operation theatre before scheduled procedures.
  • Check orthopedic surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables.
  • Arrange implants, instruments, drills, saws, and other equipment as required.
  • Assist surgeons and OT nursing staff during orthopedic procedures.
  • Support patient transfer and positioning as directed by the clinical team.
  • Maintain sterile and aseptic conditions in the OT.
  • Prepare surgical sets and instruments according to procedure requirements.
  • Coordinate with CSSD for sterilized orthopedic instruments and sets.
  • Assist with instrument and implant counts where applicable.
  • Ensure availability of required surgical consumables and implants.
  • Handle specimens according to approved procedures where applicable.
  • Clean and prepare OT equipment after procedures.
  • Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain OT registers, checklists, and procedure-related documentation.
  • Assist during emergency orthopedic procedures.
  • Follow infection-control and biomedical waste-management procedures.
  • Coordinate with biomedical engineering and maintenance teams when required.
  • Monitor inventory of orthopedic OT supplies.
  • Participate in OT audits and quality-improvement activities.
  • Follow hospital SOPs, patient-safety, and surgical-safety standards.
