Job summary

Electrodrive Powertrain Solutions is seeking a hands-on Battery Pack Prototype Technician to assemble lithium‑ion battery packs and related components for prototype builds. You will read engineering drawings, follow SOPs, and perform torque-controlled fastening, busbar assembly, insulation, and harness routing to support development programs.

You will also participate in pack rework, documentation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced proto facility, while maintaining records and ensuring

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Lithium-Ion battery technology.
• Knowledge of battery pack architecture and components.
• Understanding of Battery Management System (BMS) fundamentals.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring schematics.
• Familiarity with electrical measurements and diagnostics.
• Basic knowledge of CAN communication and diagnostic software is preferred.
• Knowledge of torque tools and assembly fixtures.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and reporting documentation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Battery Pack Prototype Assembly

• Assemble battery packs as per manufacturing drawings, SOPs, BOMs, and build instructions.
• Carry out cell/module/pack assembly activities.
• Perform torque-controlled fastening, busbar assembly, insulation installation, and harness routing.
• Support prototype builds for customer samples, validation, and development programs.

Rework & Improvement Activities

• Execute pack rework, teardown, modification, and engineering change implementations.
• Document assembly issues and support corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the proto facility.

Proto Room Management

• Maintain tools, fixtures, equipment, and assembly stations.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines while handling HV battery systems.
• Maintain assembly records, build reports, and traceability documentation.

Required Technical Skills
