Job summary

Posimind is seeking a proactive Technical Author to create, update and maintain customer-facing technical documentation. You will collect information from Engineering, Product Management and Testing teams and apply structured authoring and Simplified Technical English.

You will coordinate Documentation work across India Hub, organize workloads, provide status updates, and ensure version control and review workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Author/Technical Writer/Technical Publications/Technical Documentation.
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Experience with Engineering, Product Management, Quality or Testing teams.
• Knowledge of structured authoring and Simplified Technical English.

Role & Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain customer-facing technical documentation.
• Follow structured authoring practices, controlled terminology and Simplified Technical English.
• Collect and interpret technical information from Engineering, Product Management and Testing teams.
• Improve and restructure existing/legacy documentation.
• Coordinate Technical Communications work assigned to the India Hub.
• Organise workload, schedule tasks and track progress.
• Provide regular status updates to the Technical Communications Manager.
• Highlight risks, blockers and capacity constraints.
• Coordinate hand-offs and feedback between India and UK Technical Authors.
• Prepare documents for Senior Technical Author review.
• Address review feedback before approval/release.
• Maintain version control, file naming, change traceability and review/approval workflow.
• Support adoption of new templates, tools and process improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• 510 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience as Technical Author / Technical Writer / Technical Publications / Technical Documentation.
• Hands‑on experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Experience working with Engineering / Product Management / Quality / Testing teams.
• Experience with structured authoring.
• Knowledge of Simplified Technical English / controlled terminology.
• Experience with document control and version control.
• Experience coordinating documentation tasks/workload is preferred.
• Experience working with global/UK-based teams is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Engineering/industrial product documentation experience is preferred.
