Job summary

Vehere Inc. is seeking an Associate Technical Writer in Kolkata, India. The candidate will research and develop content including user guides, manuals, and troubleshooting documentation. Responsibilities also include collaborating with Engineering teams to maintain documentation quality throughout the product life cycle.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline and 1-3 years of technical writing experience, preferably in SaaS-based contexts. Skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are advantageous.

Associate Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and build content for a technical audience, including online/offline user guides, manuals, hands-on product training guides, troubleshooting, and FAQ documents.
• Work closely with Engineering teams to create and maintain documents for the product throughout its life cycle.
• Engage in continuous process improvements in content streamlining and information architecture with team members and SMEs; develop highly professional and unique content.
• Plan format and layout of publications, design documentation UI, and edit work for conformance to publication standards and specifications.
• Proofread/edit contents developed by other teams.
• Adhere to high-quality work standards.
• Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, science, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in SaaS-based product organizations or networking/security domains.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for handling web-based documentation and UI content.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, release cycles, and product documentation workflows.
• Hands-on experience creating user guides, administration manuals, release notes, API documentation, online help, and knowledge base content.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Experience with documentation authoring tools, version control systems (Git), and collaboration platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain documentation quality, consistency, and accuracy under tight timelines.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously while meeting project deadlines and production targets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with SMEs, Engineering, QA, Product Management, and Support teams.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies, products, and processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in Technical Writing, Web Technologies, or related courses is an added advantage.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and a team-oriented work ethic aligned with collaborative product development culture.
