Job description

A Technical Writer will be responsible for producing high-quality documentation for all the internal processes and the product. This role will require expertise in Independently handling and delivering detailed documentation projects.

Responsibilities

• Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
• Determine the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements; adjust the tone and technical terms used to meet the needs based on the audience and to ensure understanding
• Working with internal teams on product and documentation requirements; to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
• Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture
• Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
• Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
• Manage updates and revisions to technical literature

Required Skills

• Proven working experience of at least 5 years in technical writing of software documentation
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
• Good understanding of content management systems
• Experience in Technical Writing about enterprise software or similar applications, API documentation, content planning, content creation and content review
• Excellent written and grammatical skills in English
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
