Job summary

Calderys India Refractories in Odisha requires operators for production and equipment handling. You will ensure quality and safety, operate cranes, mixers, dust catchers, and compressors, and actively participate in KAIZEN and 5S activities.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, maintain housekeeping, and support store management. ITI fitter/electrician with experience is preferred, LT/HT licenses valued, and basic computer skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• ITI Fitter / Electrician qualification.
• 12th plus ITI – Electrical requirement.
• Industrial & Domestic Wiring License for Electrical candidates.
• 1–3 years in production/equipment operation.
• 5–6 years electrical field exp. in manufacturing preferred.
• LT & HT licenses preferred.
• Automation experience a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow EHS guidelines, safety protocols and procedures.
• Operate production equipment per SOPs and work instructions.
• Ensure quality and process control per QC standards.
• Monitor and maintain health/operating condition of machines.
• Participate in KAIZEN and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to EHS improvement activities.
• Maintain housekeeping and workplace cleanliness after jobs.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations.
• Allocate manpower per production requirements.
• Support general store management and 5S activities.
• Handle equipment like cranes, mixers, dust catchers, compressors.
• Support movement of big bags using forklifts/pallet trolleys.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Follow and comply with all EHS guidelines, safety protocols, and workplace procedures.
• Operate production equipment and machinery as per SOPs and work instructions.
• Ensure quality and process control during production as per QC standards.
• Monitor and maintain the health and operating condition of machines.
• Actively participate in KAIZEN and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in all EHS improvement initiatives and activities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and workplace cleanliness after completion of jobs.
• Coordinate effectively with other departments and teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Allocate manpower effectively as per production requirements.
• Support general store management and 5S activities.
• Handle production equipment such as cranes, mixers, dust catchers, and compressors.
• Support the handling and movement of big bags using forklifts or pallet trolleys.

Skills & Competencies :

• Knowledge of monolithic and precast shape production processes.
• Basic knowledge of crane and mixer machine operations.
• Basic understanding of dust catcher and compressor operations.
• Knowledge of handling big bags using forklifts and pallet trolleys.
• Basic knowledge of valves and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to understand basic technical drawings and measurements.
• Basic computer and keyboard typing skills.
• Good understanding of 5S, housekeeping, EHS, and workplace safety.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Good manpower coordination and allocation skills.
• Ability to identify and contribute to process improvements and KAIZEN activities.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Qualification: ITI Fitter / Electrician.
• Minimum 12th qualification plus ITI – Electrical.
• Industrial & Domestic Wiring License required for Electrical candidates.
• Experience: 1–3 years for production/equipment operation roles.
• For Electrical roles, 5–6 years of experience in the electrical field, preferably in reputed manufacturing plants.
• LT & HT License holders will be preferred.
• Experience in automation-related systems will be an advantage.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
