Job summary

AUSTAR Group in Delhi, India is seeking a proactive Pre-Sales Technical Support professional to collaborate with the sales team, assess customer needs, and outline service requirements across equipment lifecycle, including installation, maintenance, upgrades, and spare parts.

You will participate in project delivery, ensure GMP-aligned service, and maintain strong customer relationships as the primary technical contact, with travel across India and occasional on-site support.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; Chinese language is a plus.
• At least 3 years in pharma industry or pharma engineering.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical plant operations and equipment.
• Experience with water systems, powder processing, automation, or critical equipment.

Job description

1.Pre-Sales Technical Support: Collaborate with the sales team to conduct preliminary technical communication and needs assessment with local pharmaceutical companies in India. Gain in-depth insight into customers' after-sales maintenance service needs throughout the equipment lifecycle, specifically covering: equipment installation and commissioning, regular maintenance and repairs, system upgrades and retrofits, utility system support, and spare parts supply.

2.Project Delivery & Execution: Participate in or lead preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of pharmaceutical equipment, ensuring services comply with GMP regulations and customer standards. Participate in or lead upgrade, retrofit, and maintenance service projects for pharmaceutical water systems, powder processing systems, automation control systems, utility systems, and related equipment.

3.Customer Relationship & Ongoing Service: Establish and maintain strong customer relationships. Act as the primary technical point of contact, continuously following up on evolving customer needs.

Job Requirements:

1.Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English, capable of using them as working languages for technical communication, proposal writing, and customer interaction. Knowledge of Chinese is a significant plus.

2.Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or with a renowned pharmaceutical engineering company, with a solid understanding of pharmaceutical plant production operations, equipment management, HAVC or engineering services. Proficiency in at least one of the following areas is required: pharmaceutical water systems, powder process systems, automation control systems , or critical process equipment.

3.Travel & Adaptability: Able to adapt to frequent short- and medium-term business travel within India. Possess strong on-site adaptability at customer locations and the ability to work independently.
