COMSOL Ltd. in Bengaluru is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join the sales team. You will inform, sell, and support scientists and engineers on the usefulness of COMSOL Multiphysics software, engaging in pre-sales leads qualification and post-sales relationship management.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or physical sciences, with a minimum of five years of sales experience and strong communication skills. Willingness to travel within India is expected.

Qualifikationen

  • A bachelor's/master’s degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a physical science; mechanical, electrical or chemical domains preferred.
  • Minimum five years of sales experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Qualify leads and assess simulation requirements through meetings and demonstrations.
  • Attend onsite and web-based meetings, workshops, and marketing/sales events.
  • Articulate COMSOL licensing models and help negotiate terms with legal and procurement.
  • Travel to meet current and potential customers in India to run COMSOL-sponsored events.
  • Promote effective technical support and nurture customer relationships with COMSOL applications engineers.

COMSOL is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join thesales team in Bengaluru office who will be able to inform, sell,support scientists and engineers on the usefulness ofsimulation using COMSOL® software.

Primary Responsibility
Pre-Sales Leads Qualification and Prospect Support
  • Use your insight, communication skills, and technicalacumen to proactively qualify leads marked as prospectivecustomers.
  • Methodically identify and qualify simulation requirementsfor prospective customers through meetings anddemonstrations.
  • Participate in onsite and web-based customermeetings, workshops, and other marketing/sales eventsarranged by the team.
  • Articulate business cases for the unique capabilitiesoffered by COMSOL, explain licensing models, and helpnegotiate terms and conditions with legal and procurementdepartments wherever necessary.
  • Support working with prospective customers onevaluations of the COMSOL® software, or facilitatesuch evaluations through working in collaboration withCOMSOL applications engineers.
  • Have the willingness and ability to travel for limitedperiods of time to meet current and potential customersin order to run COMSOL-sponsored events and activitiesin India.
Post-Sales Support and Customer Relations Management
  • Promote effective technical support together withCOMSOL applications engineers on the use of theCOMSOL® software for customers’ applications.
  • Communicate with existing customers on a regularbasis to manage their relationship with COMSOL,keeping them informed about new features andtechnology in the COMSOL® software, as well asevents and other useful activities.
  • Find new opportunities to sell existing and newCOMSOL® software and technology to existingcustomers, their colleagues and other departmentswithin their organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's/master’s degree in engineering, physics,applied mathematics, or a physical science. Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical.
  • Prior sales experience for minimum five years.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sales experience in Engineering Software Solutions (CAD/CAE).
  • Coursework based on the following or its equivalent: Computational analyses, modeling, and simulations through numerical methods, such as the Finite Element Method (FEM/FEA), to be used in applications, such as fluid mechanics, transport phenomena, structural mechanics, chemical engineering, applied physics or mathematics.
