Job summary

Comviva is seeking an experienced L2 Application Support engineer to assist customers on VAS products, perform troubleshooting round the clock, and manage fault and change processes.

The role requires hands-on Linux, webservers like Apache/Tomcat/JBoss, container tech with Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud basics on AWS/Azure, with RHCE/RHCA certification an advantage, and ability to work 24x7 shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience on Linux platform and webservers.
• Level 2 support experience for VAS or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical skills to identify root cause of problems.
• Ability to work in 24x7 shifts and maintain uptime.
• Knowledge of regulatory/compliance aspects related to applications.

Responsibilities

• Support customers on VAS products and troubleshoot 24x7.
• Conduct fault and change management and routine activities.
• Deploy releases, patches and fixes on the platform.
• Carry out system audits with internal and external teams.
• Provide input to regulatory and government bodies on compliance.

Job description

• The role will require supporting customers on various VAS products, troubleshooting and resolving issues through proper procedures round the clock. The responsibilities will also include carrying out routine activities, fault management, change management and other troubleshooting related issues.
• Must be comfortable to work in shifts.
• Have worked on VAS platform with hands on experience on Level 2 support for any charging, Inventory or data application. - Maintain service uptime & SLA as committed. Capacity planning & Redundancy management.
• Should have good analytical skills to identify root cause of reported problems from client.
• Application Support, Deployment of Release, patches & fixes on Platform.
• Carry out system audit with Internal and External teams. Provide input to Regulatory and other govt bodies related to application compliance. Provide valid justification for non-compliance cases.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of Linux environments (clustering, high availability, load balancing etc.). Exposure to working with various WebServers (Apache, Tomcat, Jboss).

Key Skills Required

• Should have hands on experience on Linux platform,
• Should be able to troubleshoot issues related to Application & Linux environments. RHCE/RHCA certification
• Should have hands on experience over writing complex queries with Oracle,mysql DB .
• Should have Troubleshooting, Analysis & Debugging skills.
• Basic knowledge about Telecom like IN, HLR, SMSC, VLR, GSM, MSC
• Must have good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes and should be able to manage related task independently.
• Basic understanding and knowledge AWS OR AZURE cloud.
• Basic understanding of Python and shell scripting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Tomcat, JBOSS, Apache and Webservers.
