Job summary

Linde Global IT Delivery Center, Kolkata invites a Technical Lead for SAP Global Trade System to design, implement and support global GTS solutions. You will lead functional work, coordinate with cross‑functional teams, define processes, and ensure reliable integration with SAP modules and external systems in a fast‑paced global environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years in a SAP GTS functional role.
• Academic degree in Business Administration or Informatics; ITIL cert is a plus.
• Experience in IT Service Management: change/release management.
• Ability to debug SAP code to resolve incidents.
• Experience in SAP GTS Edition for Hana with system integration knowledge.
• Strong communication to influence stakeholders and IT strategy.
• Analytical thinker with problem solving and mapping trade processes.
• Foreign Trade Zone handling within GTS and material balancing.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive consulting on SAP GTS covering user authorisations, reports, jobs, table structures, new functionality and interfaces.
• Analyze user requirements, estimates, and document functional specifications.
• Create functional solution design including SAP standard customizing and technical specs using SAP SolMan.
• Perform unit testing, system integration and functional testing.
• Support UAT, regression testing, cutover planning and hyper care post go-live.
• Conduct workshops and training for requirements and knowledge transfer.
• Contribute to incident management and service requests (3rd level support).
• Support system upgrades, integrations and testing.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• In this role, you will proactive consulting services based on industry practices leveraging previous project experiences in the SAP GTS areas as described (incl. e.g. user authorisations, reports, jobs, table structures, new functionality, system integration/interfaces)


• You will be part of Business projects and enhancements/continuous improvements lik analysis of user requirement received from customer/work effort estimation/create functional specification documenting the solution


• Create the functional solution design which includes SAP standard customizing as well as technical specifications delivered by the development team by using SAP SolMan as Change Management system


• And Perform unit testing, system integration- & functional (IT-) testing


• Supporting customer during user acceptance testing and regression testing. Resolve defects identified during the testing cycles. Support cut over planning/execution and hyper care phase after go-live


• Conducting workshops and training sessions to gather requirements and provide knowledge transfer


• You will be contributing to Incident Management / Service requests (3rd Level Support) incl. analyzing and resolving the reported issue


• Supporting to perform system upgrades, integrations, and testing

Winning in your role. Do you have what it takes?

• Must have at least 7+ years of experience in a SAP GTS solution based functional role.


• Academic degree in Business Administration or – Informatics or a certificated IT education min. 10+ year professional experience in IT processes and ITIL


• Also, practical experience of IT Service Management Processes such as software change and/or release management or application management experience


• You must have the ability to debug SAP code to a certain extent to resolve low level incidents.


• Experience in SAP GTS Edition for Hana with debugging, integration knowledge with other SAP and non-SAP systems.


• Also, effective communication skills are required to influence stakeholders to achieve support and consistency of the overall IT strategies and policies, specifically in their own subject areas.


• Must have excellent analytical skills, together with the ability to think "outside the box".


• Foreign Trade Zone handling within GTS incl. Material balancing
