Job summary

ZF Group in India seeks an experienced IMDS Product Compliance lead to manage IMDS data, coordinate cross-functional teams, and support SAP initiatives related to substances data. The role requires strong automotive IMDS background and PLM tooling know-how, with excellent English communication.

You will oversee data checks, BOM analysis for IMDS requests, and regulatory compliance across metals, plastics, electronics, and textiles, contributing to sustainable product development.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years' IMDS experience in an automotive context.
• Strong IMDS and PLM tool knowledge; ability to read drawings.
• Knowledge of metals, plastics, electronics, textiles.
• Good understanding of GADSL, ELV, REACH, RoHS & PFAS regulations.
• MS Office and SAP proficiency; excellent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead IMDS team and projects.
• Coordinate IMDS data across divisions, functions, suppliers, and customers (global).
• Support SAP projects related to IMDS / Substances data.
• Coordinate all IMDS topics with customers and suppliers.
• Assist with checks and releases of material data sheets; analyze BOM for IMDS requests.
• Maintain databases IMDS, CAMDS and Maxi in regulatory and environmental contexts.

• Technical Lead of IMDS Team and projects.
• Technical lead and coordination of IMDS data and topics cross- divisionally, cross- functionally and in relation with suppliers and Customers ( Global)
• Support and active cooperation in SAP projects related to IMDS / Substances data
• Coordination of all IMDS relevant topics of Business Unit. Coordination with customers and suppliers about IMDS
• Assistance with checks and releases of material data sheets. Analysis of BOM and creation of IMDS for customer requests (IMDS)
• Performing substance analysis relevant to various regulations. System maintenance of the databases IMDS, CAMDS and Maxi Cooperation in topics of legal requirements and environmental protection in the context of the product development process and change management.

Your profile as IMDS Product Compliance

• Bachelor/master’s degree with Min. 6-10 years of professional experience in IMDS responsibility and from Automotive background.
• Very good knowledge of the systems IMDS, PLM tools. Able to read product technical drawing & product related queries. Knowledge on Metals, Plastics, Electronics and Textiles etc.
• Good understanding of GADSL substance list, ELV, REACH, RoHS & PFAS regulations
• Good knowledge MS Office and SAP. Very good English Language skills( verbal and written)
