Job summary

ZF Group in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Technical Lead with 8-10 years of automotive software experience and a strong background in functional safety. You will drive safety activities across the software lifecycle and derive safety requirements from system architecture.

Responsibilities include software safety analyses (FMEA/HAZOP), ensuring traceability of safety requirements, and guiding road and gate approvals in ISO 26262 contexts with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields.
• Proven experience in automotive software development with a functional safety focus.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and safety lifecycle.
• Experience with AUTOSAR architectures is preferred.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices in software development.

Responsibilities

• Lead software safety activities within the V-cycle and safety plans.
• Define software safety requirements from system level.
• Perform software safety analyses such as FMEA/HAZOP.
• Ensure traceability of software safety requirements.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers to drive road and gate approvals.

• SW Coding background with good understanding of Functional Safety Standards with 8-10 years of experience.
• Determination of Software Safety Requirements from System Requirements or System Architecture or Hardware Software Interface Specification.
• Recording of Software Safety Requirements from new or complex problems to implementation level of requirements with verification and validation.
• Ensuring Traceability of Software Safety Requirements.Performing Impact Analysis at Software level.
• Performing Software Safety Analysis either of DFMEA or FTA Approach (Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis).
• Determination of Software Safety Concepts Technical Point of view.
• Creation and Modification of Programming Guidelines.Creation and Modification of Methods from ISO26262.
• Support Verification Review at Software Development V Cycle.Determination of Software Safety Plan and Safety Case.
• Initiate of Confirmation Review at Software Safety Analysis and Verification Test Plan.
• Knowledge on ASIL Decomposition Technics & Providing Road and Gate approvals time to time.

Your profile as a Senior Technical Lead:

• Bachelors/master’s in electrical engineering/Electronics/ Software Engineering
• Proven experience in software code development in the automotive domain, especially in a functional safety context
• Proven experience in base software development according to AUTOSAR is an advantage
• Knowledge of ISO26262:2018 is preferable.Knowledge of agile development process like DevOps is preferable
• Knowledge of software safety analyses processes like Software FMEA, HAZOP is preferable
• Knowledge of automotive products like transmissions or electric drives is preferable
• High assertiveness with moderation and communication skills as well as safe and reliable contact with customers and suppliers
• Good to have ISO26262 Level-1 Certification
