Job summary

ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited – GEC Chennai, India seeks a Functional Safety Manager to drive safety activities in the SW domain within automotive R&D, shaping safe mobility solutions.

You will lead safety analyses, ensure artifacts, align with ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR practices, and collaborate across teams to manage risk and deliver safe software components.

Qualifications

• Experience performing safety analysis for safety-critical functions in automotive.
• Experience with functional safety requirements analysis.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, RTOS and SW development processes.
• Experience in system requirement analysis and ASIL decomposition for SW components.
• Experience in test specification and fault injection testing (SWE.6).
• Knowledge of Base Software development; Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262.
• Good knowledge of C programming; strong English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Planning and monitoring of functional safety activities within SW domain.
• Managing artifacts related to SW safety plan and safety case reports.
• Perform safety analyses such as FTA, DFA, FFI from SW domain.
• Risk assessment and impact analysis of changes to architecture; represent SW in safety audits.
• Communicate effectively in English; adhere to ISO 26262 safety standards.

• Responsible for planning and monitoring of functional safety activities within SW domain
• Responsible for artifacts related to SW domain within safety plan, safety case report
• Responsible for safety analysis such as FTA, DFA, FFI from SW domain
• Risk assessment and impact analysis of changes to the architecture. Represent SW domain in safety assessment/Audit for respective projects
• Good written and verbal communication skill in English. Good knowledge of safety standards like ISO26262.

Your Profile as Functional safety Manager (m/f/d):

• Exp. in performing safety analysis for safety critical functions in automotive domain.
• Good experience in analysis of functional safety requirements
• Good knowledge and exp. in AUTOSAR architecture, RTOS and SW development process
• Experience in System requirement analysis and ASIL decomposition for SW components
• Experience in test specification and execution of Fault injection test as part of SWE.6
• Good knowledge or Hands-on experience on Base Software development and Configuration.Good knowledge on Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 Standard.
• Good knowledge on C Programming & Good written and verbal communication skills in English
