Job summary

ZF is seeking a Senior Executive Supplier Quality to manage supplier quality and development activities in Forgings, Gears and machined parts for the Industrial Axle, Transmissions and Railway Business in India.

The role requires strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3, along with APQP/PPAP, 8D and Ishikawa problem-solving, and a minimum of 8 years in related areas. You will drive supplier audits, cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 Process Audits.
• Familiarity with AIAG/VDA APQP, PPAP and PM methodologies.
• FMEA, failure simulation and problem-solving tools (8D, Ishikawa).
• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering.
• 8+ years in Forgings, Forming, Heat Treatment, Hobbing, Shaping, grinding, Machining, or related.
• CQI-9 heat treatment audits or special process audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier assessment and process audits in line with ZF guidelines for Forgings, Gears and Machining suppliers in India.
• Support supplier management by ensuring fulfilment of ZF deliverables related to product quality in preventive and reactive phases.
• Apply APQP and PPAP methodologies in new and competitive sourcing projects.
• Lead crossfunctional coordination between Indian suppliers and internal teams ZF plants across global locations.
• Oversee supplier selection, feasibility and development of Forgings, Gears, machined parts to meet milestones.
• Support establishment of a reliable, efficient supply chain for development and serial production.

About the Team:

ZF is seeking a Commodity Supplier Quality Engineer (CSQE) for our Industrial Axle, Transmissions and Railway Business in India. This position will manage supplier quality and development activities in Forgings, Gears and machined parts commodities with Indian suppliers delivering fully finished gears & machined parts to our Indian and Global Industrial Division locations.

What you can look forward to as Senior Executive Supplier Quality:

• Conduct supplier assessment and process audits in accordance with ZF guidelines for Forgings, Gears and Machining suppliers in India.
• Support supplier management activities by ensuring fulfilment of all ZF specified deliverables related to product quality in both preventive and reactive phases, with end-to-end accountability.
• Ensure supplier compliance with ZF specifications and standards by effectively applying APQP and PPAP methodologies in new and competitive sourcing projects.
• Lead and support crossfunctional coordination between Indian suppliers and internal teams ZF plants across global locations.
• Take responsibility for the Supplier selection, technical feasibility and development of Forgings, Gears, machined parts through systematic project management to meet quality and project milestones.
• Support the establishment of a reliable and efficient supply chain for both in development and serial production.

Your Profile as Senior Executive Supplier Quality:

• Strong knowledge of key quality standards: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 Process Audits.
• Good understanding of AIAG/VDA APQP, PPAP, and project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with AIAG/VDA FMEA, failure simulation, and problemsolving tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, etc.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the areas of Forgings, Forming, Heat Treatment, Hobbing, Shaping, grinding operations/ Product Development/ Supplier Quality/Customer Quality/Machining processes etc.
• Additional knowledge in CQI-9 Heat Treatment Special process audits, measurement skills will be an added advantage.
