Job summary

ISS India is seeking a Shift Engineer in Mumbai to oversee daily shift operations, ensure water, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems run to standard, and coordinate with vendors for maintenance and permits. The role includes hands-on rounds of electrical rooms, TR room, DG, UPS, PAC, and safety-compliant work with PPE.

Face/in-out attendance and detailed reporting are required. The candidate will lead handovers, maintain logs, and drive timely resolution of issues, including PM activities,

Responsibilities

• After completing the entry process, punching face/fingerprint in the punching machine, and IN time also recording in the attendance register.
• Conducting shift briefings and take handovers from outgoing Engineer.
• Ensuring water tank levels, plumbing systems, and electrical/mechanical equipment are maintained within operational standards.
• Taking round in electrical rooms, DG area, UPS system, PAC system, VESDA system, WLD system, and water tank areas; inform if abnormalities observed.
• Coordinate with vendors on daily project activities and prepare work permits accordingly.
• Taking round vendor activities to ensure proper execution with PPE compliance.
• Follow up with in-house team on daily complaint work status.
• Coordinate with AMC vendor to ensure completion of PPM activities as per schedule.
• During night shifts, record LT panel readings and update daily reports for client submission.
• Any alarm activates quickly responding & Inform to relative Eng, safety, security & user department.
• Before leaving the premises, complete face/fingerprint punching and OUT time recording in the attendance register.
• Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities with technicians.
• Responding promptly to abnormalities reported by technicians.
• Ensure timely resolution of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
• Escalate unresolved or critical issues to Assistance facility Manager or facility managers.
• Verify completion of scheduled PPM activities.
• Maintaining daily logbooks, checklists, and shift reports.
• Monthly power consumption data, EHS data, activated fire alarm data sharing with client.
• Record troubleshooting activities, equipment performance, and incidents.
• Submit reports to Facility Manager (FM) on operational status and maintenance activities.
• Guide and support plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC during the shift.
• Allocate tasks and ensure pending work is handed over to the next shift.

Daily Activities: -
Shift Operations

• After completing the entry process, punching face/fingerprint in the punching machine, and IN time also recording in the attendance register.

• Taking round in SB & EB electrical rooms, TR room, DG area, UPS system, PAC system, Novel-1230, VESDA system, WLD system, Air cool chiller system and water tank areas; if observe any abnormalities immediately inform AFM/FM.


• Coordinate with vendors on daily project activities and prepare work permits accordingly.


• Taking round vendor activities to ensure proper execution with PPE compliance.


• Follow up with in-house team on daily complaint work status.


• Coordinate with AMC vendor to ensure completion of PPM activities as per schedule.


• During night shifts, record EB & SB LT panel readings and update daily reports for client submission.
