Job summary

Sankalp India Solutions in Karnataka seeks a CAD Designer to prepare and modify 2D drawings for battery components using AutoCAD 2D, assist with assembly drawings, and maintain BOMs. Freshers are encouraged; diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred, with basic CAD knowledge.

You will work at the Bidadi manufacturing facility with immediate joiners favored. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is mandatory; basic CAD tools like 3D CAD or SolidWorks are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Freshers actively encouraged to apply (01 year experience).
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D - mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, or any CAD software is an advantage.
• Understanding of engineering drawing standards, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Basic awareness of lead acid battery components and manufacturing processes is preferred but not mandatory - training will be provided.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel.
• Willing to work at the manufacturing facility in Bidadi.
• Immediate joiners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify 2D engineering drawings for battery components, battery boxes, terminals, connectors, grids, and assembly jigs using AutoCAD
• Assist in drafting assembly drawings, exploded views, and part drawings for lead acid battery components
• Support the engineering team in new product development from concept to drawing release
• Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for battery assemblies and sub-assemblies
• Coordinate with production, tool room, and quality teams to ensure drawings reflect actual manufacturing requirements
• Assist in documentation of technical specifications, process sheets, and work instructions
• Support in vendor drawing submissions and technical clarifications for outsourced components such as containers, lids, separators, and terminals
• Maintain and update engineering drawing register and revision control
• Assist in basic measurement and dimensional verification of components using standard measuring instruments
• Support in preparing technical reports and presentations for internal reviews
