Job summary

Tekskills in Bengaluru seeks a Diploma holder in Mechanical/Mechatronics to lead battery pack assembly and testing. You will manage lab tools, define safety guidelines, and procure lab consumables in coordination with the team. Strong CAD skills, soldering, circuit reading, and PCB repair are essential to succeed.

Candidate should have 4–6 years in automotive/industrial settings, with hands-on experience in lab calibration and toolbox management. Excellent communication skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics, preferably with BE after Diploma.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in automotive/industrial applications.
  • Experience in battery pack assemblies and testing.
  • Experience in lab tool calibration and maintenance.
  • Experience in preparing SOPs, work instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Experience with lab tool procurement and vendor coordination.
  • Proficient in CAD modeling and 2D drawings.
  • Familiarity with PCB repair and wiring harness work.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create battery pack assemblies and support testing activities.
  • Manage lab tools, update safety guidelines and lab procedures.
  • Oversee calibration of lab tools and procure consumables in discussion with teams.
  • Procure lab tools for battery pack prototype making and testing with team input.
  • Perform CAD modeling, soldering, read basic circuit drawings, monitor battery pack voltage.
  • Use microscopes and soldering equipment for PCB work and wire soldering.
  • Prepare detailed test plans, execute tests, and compile test reports and summaries.

Job description

Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics, experience in Tool Making, Jig, Part inspection, component procurement, inventory management, Equipment maintenance and calibration. Experience in automotive / industrial application.

Qualifications
  • Education Mechanical/Mechatronics diploma from NTTF or GTTC. (Preferable B.E after Diploma)

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating battery pack assemblies, support testing activity.
  • Responsible for managing lab tools, creating and updating safety guidelines, lab procedures etc.
  • Manage lab tool calibration activity, should take responsibility in buying consumables items for lab in discussion with structure and circuit team members.
  • Should take responsibility in buying lab tools required for battery pack prototype making, assembly and testing activity in discussing with the team.
  • Knowledge of CAD modelling, soldering, basic circuit drawing reading, battery pack voltage monitoring, wiring harness preparation and crimping.
  • Utilize microscope and soldering equipment to add or remove small components on printed circuit boards, soldering of wires, and PCB repair.
  • Knowledge of making 2D drawings.
  • Prepare test plans, test cases and testing of battery components to confirm the requirements.
  • Prepare detailed test report and summary of tests conducted.
Skills
  • Experience in Equipment maintenance and support for calibration
  • Experience in preparing the SOP's, Work Instructions, Safety guidelines, Do's & Don'ts with respect to the Machine/Instrument
  • Experience in lab instruments inspection
  • Experience in vendor development/coordinating for procuring the lab related items
  • Experience in SolidWorks CAD Software
  • Experience working on plastic, sheet metal, die casting components. (e.g. Busbar, housing, elastomers)
  • Knowledge of material properties for sheet metal, plastic and die casting
  • Experience in 2D drawing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in validation testing
  • Experience in Li-Ion Battery test and regulatory standards ISO, IEC, UN
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry
  • Familiar with power supplies, oscilloscopes and DVMs
