Job summary

Birla Elevators is seeking a Service Technician/Senior Technician for our Hyderabad, Telangana operations. The role involves preventive maintenance, breakdown response, diagnostics, and repairs of elevators, escalators and moving walks at customer sites.

You will conduct safety inspections, maintain records, and coordinate with customers and supervisors to ensure timely service delivery, including identifying modernization opportunities.

Qualifications

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of elevators, escalators and moving walks.
• Attend breakdown calls, diagnose faults and restore equipment within defined response time.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and electronic components.
• Conduct periodic inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Carry out minor repairs, adjustments, lubrication and replacement of defective parts.
• Complete testing and commissioning activities after repairs or installation.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records and customer visit logs.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to EHS guidelines at all sites.
• Coordinate with customers, supervisors and other departments to ensure timely service delivery.
• Identify modernization or repair opportunities and report them to the Service Sales team.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and support rescue operations when required.
