Job summary

ATS Global in Ahmedabad requires an on-call Automation Support Engineer to resolve PLC/SCADA issues and improve client experience within the Automation Delivery department.

You will handle on-site technical support, maintain documentation, and contribute to knowledge resources while engaging in cross-functional collaboration and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation, Telecommunication or Electronics is required.
• 4–6 years of automation technical support experience.
• Hands-on PLC/SCADA software experience.
• Experience interfacing SCADA with databases such as MS SQL or MySQL.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols and historians is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call support to clients, identify issues, and guide corrective steps for automation software.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and references to aid resolution.
• Maintain knowledge base and checklists for efficient problem solving.
• Assist clients with accessibility considerations and ensure timely query resolution.

Job Requirements (Skill Sets)

• Hands-on experience in automation project execution, configuration or troubleshooting of PLC and SCADA/HMI software.


• Experience in interfacing automation SCADA software with databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, or others.


• Ability to diagnose faults based on system/application/software logs.


• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols/drivers, OPC DA/UA or HDA server; client interfaces and historian configuration is an added advantage.


• Major experience should be in technical support to customer.


• Good communication skills


• Knowledge of database management, MIS, and report analysis.


• Engineers should be involved in, handle, and follow our QMS processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-call support to clients by identifying technical issues, researching solutions, and guiding clients through corrective steps related to automation software products.


• Enhance client experience by creating and maintaining technical documentation and references.
