Job summary

DDE Bioengineering Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Automation Engineer – PLC/SCADA to support development, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation solutions for pharmaceutical process skids and regulated manufacturing environments.

You will work with Siemens S7-1200/1500, WinCC Classic, Allen Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix, FactoryTalk SE/ME, and ISA-based modular process philosophy, with a focus on validated project execution and field debugging.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Siemens hardware and software platforms including Siemens TIA Portal, S7-1200/1500, WinCC Classic, ControlLogix, Studio5000/RSLogix5000, and FactoryTalk View SE/ME.
• Good understanding of industrial instrumentation, field devices, motor controls, and process IO handling.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical process applications and regulated utility systems will be preferred.
• Strong analytical and logical troubleshooting mindset with willingness to learn structured automation architecture.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID, wiring diagrams, and basic control philosophy documents.

About the Job

We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer – PLC/SCADA to support the development, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation solutions built on the Siemens Automation platform for pharmaceutical process skids, clean utility systems, and regulated manufacturing environments. This role offers hands-on exposure to TIA Portal, Siemens S7-1200/1500, WinCC Classic, Allen Bradley ControlLogix / CompactLogix, Factory talk SE/ME, ISA-based modular process philosophy, and validation-oriented project execution.

Your Role

• Deliver and execute assigned automation projects on time with a strong focus on quality, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Support technical deliverables to ensure engineering output match project requirements and customer specifications.
• Contribute towards engineering cost optimization through use of productivity tools, standardization, software reuse, and disciplined execution.
• Maintain proactive communication with reporting leads during project execution and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Support PLC software development using TIA Portal Siemens S7-1200/1500, Allen Bradley ControlLogix / CompactLogix, Factory talk SE/ME platforms for motor control, analog process handling, equipment permissives, alarm annunciation, sequence routines, and PID loops.
• Assist in development of WinCC Classic, FactoryTalk View SE/ME HMI and SCADA applications including equipment status displays, alarm indicators, trends, parameter pages, popup diagnostics, and standard navigation structures.
• Develop understanding of ISA-88 inspired equipment module, control module, and phase-oriented programming concepts used for scalable pharmaceutical automation applications.
• Participate in internal simulation, IO checkout, FAT/SAT support, startup assistance, and field debugging activities.
• Support engineering documentation including IO mapping, tag lists, alarm lists, software backups, and revision-controlled project records.

Key Competency Requirements

• Willingness to travel for FAT, SAT, and commissioning assignments.
