Job summary

ZEISS India in Bengaluru seeks a technical leader with 10+ years in .NET to architect and deliver scalable software solutions. You will design REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures, while guiding a team of engineers across Windows apps, web services, and cloud deployments.

You will mentor, review code, drive Agile practices, and ensure performance and quality through SOLID principles and robust data models.

Job description

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in .NET technologies, including C#, WPF, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, Event-driven Architecture, Distributed Systems, and SQL Server.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices to ensure high-quality software development.
• Drive architectural decisions and system design, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices, MQTT-based Event-driven architectures, and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, SOLID principles, and database design.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of C++ would be a valuable addition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, QA, and DevOps, to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Drive Agile development methodologies, including Sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Oversee code quality, debugging, performance tuning, and technical debt management.
• Experience in Windows Applications, Web Services, Web API development, and cloud-based deployments (Azure/AWS).
• Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data modeling.
• Ensure seamless integration of components, efficient data flow, and system reliability.
• Proactively identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to enhance team productivity and software quality.
