Job summary

Adani Group is seeking a Team Member - Stores to support inventory reception, storage, and issuance in alignment with requirements. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping in SAP and effective asset management.

The position involves classifying inventory, managing shelf life, ageing, and non-moving items, while coordinating with Finance, QA and stores teams to ensure accurate stock levels and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, commerce, supply chain management, business administration or related area.
• More than 4 years of experience in managing stores, inventory management and scrap management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventory management by implementing standard systems, templates and processes.
• Classify inventory by shelf life, criticality and ageing (SMI/NMI/Normal Spares).
• Track material availability and manage warehouse inventory levels.
• Assist in issuing materials to users and update stock promptly.
• Assist in identification and liquidation of non-moving inventory and asset scrapping.
• Maintain records of inventory transactions in SAP, including POs and receipts.

Purpose/Objective

• Team Member - Stores assists in timely receipt of assigned material/ package, proper storage, accounting and timely issuance to relevant user departments as per requirements, Inventory management.
• Contributes in classification, storage and liquidation of waste and scrap as per defined guidelines.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Inventory Management: Assist in the implementation of standard systems, templates, and processes for inventory management.
• Help classify inventory based on shelf life, criticality, and ageing (SMI/NMI/Normal Spares).
• Store Management: Track availability of materials/products and manage inventory levels at the warehouse/stores.
• Assist in issuing materials to users and update inventory levels promptly.
• Asset Management: Assist in identification and liquidation of non-moving inventory (NMI) Implement asset scrapping or asset write-off basis DoA Quality Assurance: Quality Assurance: For the assigned store category, assist in resolving any discrepancies pertaining to inventory based on electronic records that represent the inventory and the physical state of the inventory Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions in SAP, including purchase orders, receipts, and other relevant documentation.
• Forward invoices and supporting documents to the Head of Accounts (HAC) via the Document Control Cell.
• Digital Mindset: Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.
• Key Stakeholders - Internal: Site Techno-Commercial Head Techno-Commercial Head,HO category management teams, Quality Departments, Finance & Accounts team, Key Stakeholders - External: Vendors, Logistics providers
