Job summary

Adani Power in Tamil Nadu invites an experienced Stores/Warehouse Manager to oversee daily store and warehouse operations across generation units. You will ensure receipt, inspection, storage, issuance of materials, maintain systematic storage, and monitor stock movement to prevent losses.

The role requires 8–15 years in store/inventory management, preferably in heavy industry, with ERP/SAP experience and a focus on compliance, safety, and efficient material flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in commerce, engineering, supply chain, logistics or related discipline.
• MBA/PG Diploma in SCM preferred.
• 8–15 years of experience in store, warehouse, inventory or materials management.
• Experience in Power Plant, manufacturing, steel, cement, infrastructure or heavy engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store and warehouse activities.
• Ensure receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials.
• Maintain systematic storage practices for easy identification and retrieval.
• Monitor stock movement and prevent material deterioration, loss, or pilferage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/SAP; conduct cycle counts and annual verification.
• Monitor inventory levels; coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
• Identify slow/non-moving/obsolete inventory and recommend disposal.
• Verify material receipt against POs and delivery documents.
• Ensure timely issuance of materials to user departments.
• Maintain documentation for inward/outward material movements.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics for smooth material flow.
• Update inventory transactions in SAP/ERP; generate stock, valuation and MIS reports.
• Maintain records of GRN, material issue notes, gate passes, stock registers.
• Ensure audit/compliance with documentation standards.
• Lead and supervise store personnel; allocate work and monitor performance.
• Ensure SOPs and safety protocols are followed; provide training.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline.


• MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management will be preferred.

Experience

• 8–15 years of experience in Store, Warehouse, Inventory, or Materials Management.


• Experience in Power Plant, Manufacturing, Steel, Cement, Infrastructure, or Heavy Engineering Industry preferred.
