Job summary

Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS) in India seeks a Team Member - GIS to drive GIS governance for all OSP and fiber assets. The role focuses on data model changes, data synchronization with field operations, and KPI-oriented data reconciliation with MS providers.

You will configure GIS reports, extract KMZ data with MAP Info, and maintain GIS vs network data accuracy across regions. Diploma/BE in Telecom/Communication with 6–8 years of GIS experience is required.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in GIS & Small World Platforms.
• Diploma or BE in Telecom/Communication and strong data governance skills.
• Experience with telecom technologies and OSP environments.

Responsibilities

• GIS management & governance for all OSP and fiber elements in the network.
• Data model changes and attribute additions in GIS systems.
• Coordinate with MS provider to keep GIS updated with field data.
• Monthly KPI-based reconciliation with MS provider.
• Configure reports in GIS and extract required reports.
• Use MAP Info to extract KMZ data and share with FO/CPO teams.
• Maintain GIS vs network data accuracy.

Job responsibility

Team member - GIS is responsible for GIS Management & Governance of all the OSP and Fiber elements in the Network.

Major responsibilities include:

1. Data Model Changes implementation in the system. e.g. adding new attribute in the system.
2. Working with MS provider to ensure that GIS is updated and synchronized with field data on timely manner.
3. Monthly signoff of MS provider KPI basis reconciliation.
4. Supporting user to configure required reports in GIS. Here GIS Governance team implement a logic to configure and extract required report from GIS.
5. Working in MAP Info to extract data in KMZ format, Bifurcate data circle wise for sharing with FO/CPO team.
6. Data updating into GIS e.g. Network Building, Fiber Routes, Floor, Chamber location, equipment.
7. Maintaining GIS vs Network data accuracy

The aspirant for Team member - GIS role must have in-depth understanding about the GIS systems to deliver the same with the partners.

• Hands-on experience on GIS Platforms with hands on knowledge of OSP.
• Product knowledge Understanding of Technology & Products – SDH , OTN , ASON, DWDM , GPON ETC
• Understanding of EMPower, SFDC, Metasolv, SAP & Viznet CRM tools, is an added advantage.
• Highly skilled in use of MS-Office and Efficiency enhancement tools.

Working experience with prominent telecom operators or deployment with similar setup and operations.
