Job summary

Axis Bank in Chennai is seeking a Home Loan Team Leader to drive a sales team and achieve monthly home loan targets. You will lead Relationship Officers and Field Sales Executives, guiding field activity and customer engagement to close loans.

The role requires extensive banking sales experience, strong leadership, reliable travel, and a drive to build client relationships with builders and DSAs. RBI-compliant and customer-focused approach preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline (Any Graduate).
• 25 years of experience in Banking Sales / Home Loan / LAP / Mortgage Sales.
• Prior experience in handling or managing a sales team is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the local market and customer acquisition.
• Good communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to achieve targets and handle a team effectively.
• Willingness to travel for field sales activities.
• 2-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Relationship Officers / Field Sales Executives.
• Drive the team to achieve monthly Home Loan sales targets.
• Generate new business through direct sales, referrals, builders, DSAs, and other market sources.
• Guide the team in lead generation, customer meetings, follow-ups, and loan closures.
• Monitor daily team activities, sales performance, and target achievement.
• Conduct regular field visits with team members and support them in customer acquisition.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, builders, and business partners.
• Ensure proper collection and verification of customer documents.
• Coordinate with the Bank/Operations team for smooth processing of loan applications.
• Follow up on pending files and ensure timely conversion from login to disbursement.
• Provide regular sales updates, MIS reports, and performance reports to the reporting manager.
• Identify new market opportunities and implement strategies to improve team productivity.
• Ensure proper customer service and maintain relationships during pre-sales and post-sales.
• Train and support team members to improve their sales and customer-handling skills.
