Job summary

Perit AI (YC F26) seeks an Indian national to lead an Italian-language transcription and AI data annotation team. This full-time remote role requires certified Italian proficiency and strong communication skills.

You will oversee the team, handle word alignment and annotation tasks, review completed work, and ensure daily output targets are met while mentoring staff.

Relevant experience in transcription, data annotation or linguistic QA is preferred; leadership experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Must hold Italian language proficiency certification (e.g., CILS, CELI, PLIDA) and excellent grammar.
• Experience in transcription, translation, proofreading or data annotation.
• Previous team management experience is advantageous.

We are looking for an Indian national with certified Italian language proficiency to lead and manage Italian-language transcription and AI data annotation team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Italian-language transcription and data annotation team.
• 6 hours: Hands-on word alignment and annotation.
• 4 hours: Reviewing completed work, quality assurance, ensuring daily output targets are met, mentoring team members, and managing the team's day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

• Excellent proficiency in Italian (Italy), including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension.
• Strong understanding of spoken Italian, accents, and conversational language.
• Good command of English for professional communication.
• Previous experience in transcription, translation, proofreading, linguistic quality assurance, or data annotation is preferred.
• Prior team management or leadership experience is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Must have:

Equivalent recognized Italian language qualifications may also be considered, subject to verification.
