Job summary

Perit AI (YC F26) in India is seeking an Indian national with certified German proficiency to lead and manage our German-language transcription and AI data annotation team. This full-time remote role focuses on building a high-quality pipeline and delivering accurate language data.

You will split time between hands-on annotation and supervising the team, ensuring daily output targets, mentoring colleagues, and coordinating with stakeholders to maintain consistency and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in German grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension.
• Strong understanding of various German accents and conversational language.
• Good command of English for professional communication.
• Experience in transcription, data annotation, or linguistic QA preferred.
• Prior team leadership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the German transcription and data-annotation team.
• 6 hours: hands-on word alignment and annotation.
• 4 hours: review, QA, daily output targets, mentoring, and day-to-day operations.

We are looking for an Indian national with certified German language proficiency to lead and manage German-language transcription and AI data annotation team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage German-language transcription and data annotation team.
• 6 hours: Hands-on word alignment and annotation.
• 4 hours: Reviewing completed work, quality assurance, ensuring daily output targets are met, mentoring team members, and managing the team's day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

• Excellent proficiency in German, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension.
• Strong understanding of spoken German, accents, and conversational language.
• Good command of English for professional communication.
• Previous experience in transcription, translation, proofreading, linguistic quality assurance, or data annotation is preferred.
• Prior team management or leadership experience is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Must have:

Must hold a valid, recognized German language proficiency certification such as Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, telc Deutsch, or ÖSD, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
