Job summary

Perit AI (YC F26) in India is seeking an Indian national with certified French language proficiency to lead and manage our French-language transcription and data annotation team.

This remote, full-time role splits time between hands-on word alignment and supervision, ensuring daily output targets are met, mentoring staff, and maintaining quality standards.

Strong English communication and prior experience in transcription, translation, proofreading, or data annotation are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent proficiency in French (France) including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension.
• Strong understanding of spoken French, accents, and conversational language.
• Good command of English for professional communication.
• Prior experience in transcription, translation, proofreading, linguistic quality assurance, or data annotation is preferred.
• Prior team management or leadership experience is an advantage.
• Must hold a valid, recognized French language proficiency certification such as DELF, DALF, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the French-language transcription and data-annotation team.
• Allocate 6 hours to hands-on word alignment and annotation.
• Dedicate 4 hours to reviewing work, QA, and meeting daily output targets, mentoring staff, and managing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage French-language transcription and data annotation team.
• 6 hours: Hands-on word alignment and annotation.
• 4 hours: Reviewing completed work, quality assurance, ensuring daily output targets are met, mentoring team members, and managing the team's day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

• Excellent proficiency in French (France), including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension.
• Strong understanding of spoken French, accents, and conversational language.
• Good command of English for professional communication.
• Previous experience in transcription, translation, proofreading, linguistic quality assurance, or data annotation is preferred.
• Prior team management or leadership experience is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Must have:
