Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks an experienced software engineer to drive development of next‑gen Access and Aggregation deployments, including Metro and Mobile Backhaul, using JunOS or Junos EVO.

The role emphasizes close collaboration with product management, system and test teams to deliver high-quality solutions and resolve customer escalations with the Juniper TAC. Frontline ownership and strong C/C++ skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS/CE or similar field, with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience.
• Proficient in C, C++ programming and debugging.
• L2 protocols: STP, ERPS, 802.1x, jflow, Sflow; Layer 2 bridging/switching.
• Unix/Linux systems proficiency (user-space processes, kernel, sockets, IPC).
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6 protocols.
• Domain knowledge: Service Provider Technologies, Access/Aggregation Deployments, Metro, Mobile Backhaul.
• Experience with DNX family: Jericho, Jericho2.

Responsibilities

ACX platform is part of RIS BU, and is responsible for driving technology leadership in the routing, access, and aggregation router developments for next-generation Metro and 5G networks, deployed in some of the world’s largest service providers, data centers, enterprise, and metro ethernet networks.

What You'll Do

• You will be responsible for product development of cutting edge platforms for next gen Access and Aggregation Deployments, Metro, Mobile Backhaul with JunOS or Junos EVO software architecture.
• In addition to the development activity, you are required to work closely with product management, system and solution test teams to ensure products/solutions delivered are of the highest quality.
• You will be required to work closely with Juniper Technical Assistance Team for providing engineering assistance in supporting critical customer escalations for customer deployments.

What You Need To Bring

• BS/MS in CS/CE or similar field, with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience
• Proficient in C, C++ programming and debugging
• L2 protocols like STP, ERPS, 802.1x, jflow, Sflow,, Layer 2 bridging/switching.
• Experienced in Unix/Linux systems with proficiency in user-space processes, kernel, socket programming, inter-process communication
