Job summary

Source-Right is seeking a Suspension System Designer to lead the design and development for a compact L7e-class vehicle within the Vehicle Engineering & Design department.

The role requires hands-on experience with MacPherson strut and wishbone layouts, complete vehicle programs, GD&T, and basic FEA knowledge, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Lead suspension system design and development for a small L7e-category vehicle.
• Must have executed at least one complete vehicle program in suspension system design and development for passenger cars.
• Hands-on experience in passenger-car suspension system architecture, component selection, and suspension layouts.
• Knowledge of MacPherson strut and wishbone suspension systems.
• Experience in suspension kinematic schematics, spring-stiffness calculations, suspension envelopes, and articulation studies.
• Knowledge of homologation and certification requirements.
• Basic knowledge of materials, FEA, DVPs, and testing specifications.
• Understanding of sheet-metal, casting, forging, and other manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and ISO GD&T standards for creating 2D drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred Industries/Companies: Piaggio India, Atul Auto, Tata Motors Passenger Cars, Mahindra MRV, Tata Technologies, and FEV India.
• Behavioral Competencies: Dedication, innovation, ownership, quality orientation, and teamwork.
• Software Skills: CATIA V5 and MS Office tools.
