Job summary

Penta Energy Services is seeking a Civil Surveyor specializing in Total Station surveying for project sites in Andhra Pradesh. You will perform site surveying and setting-out using Total Station, Auto Level, and GPS/GDGPS, establish benchmarks, and verify levels and coordinates against drawings.

You will maintain daily survey records, coordinate with planning, execution, QA/QC, and engineering teams, and ensure accuracy and timely completion per approved tolerances. Experience 3–8 years required.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in civil surveying on site.
• Proficient with Total Station, GPS/DGPS and leveling instruments.
• Ability to read and verify drawings, plans and specifications.

Job description

Civil Surveyor Total Station | Key Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveying and setting-out works for civil construction activities using Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/DGPS and other survey instruments.
• Establish and maintain benchmarks, reference points, grid lines and control points at the project site.
• Set out building foundations, excavation lines, columns, walls, roads, drains, utilities and other civil works as per approved drawings.
• Check and verify levels, coordinates, elevations, alignment, slopes and dimensions before and during construction.
• Conduct pre-construction and as-built surveys and prepare accurate survey records.
• Take joint measurements with the Project Engineer/Client/Consultant wherever required.
• Monitor excavation depths, formation levels, PCC/RCC levels and finished ground levels.
• Provide accurate setting-out information to site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors for execution.
• Check column positions, anchor bolts, structural locations and grid alignment where applicable.
• Prepare survey sketches, coordinate sheets, level books and measurement records.
• Maintain daily survey records and properly document all measurements and observations.
• Carry out quantity/area/volume measurements required for excavation, filling, concrete and other civil works.
• Verify subcontractor works against approved drawings, specifications and site benchmarks.
• Coordinate with the Planning, Execution, QA/QC and Engineering teams regarding survey requirements and discrepancies.
• Identify and report any deviation in alignment, level, coordinates or dimensions immediately to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
• Ensure proper calibration, safe handling and maintenance of Total Station, Auto Level and other survey equipment.
• Maintain survey equipment and arrange periodic calibration/checking as required.
• Support preparation of BOQ measurements, RA bills and quantity verification wherever survey data is required.
• Work closely with the construction team to ensure accurate and timely execution as per drawings and approved tolerances.
• Maintain all survey documents for QA/QC records and final project handover/as-built documentation
