Job summary

Harsha Constructions is seeking a Surveyor for the HAM Road Project in Telangana. The role involves topographical, route surveys, and setting-out work on a highway project at a project site in Telangana.

You will establish benchmarks and control points, and coordinate with project engineers and contractors throughout the day-to-day survey activities. The candidate should have 3–8 years of highway/road project experience and a Civil Engineering surveying background, with proficiency in Total

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/Degree in Civil Engineering or surveying qualification.
• Experience in Highway/Road projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of MORTH specifications and field surveying practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out topographical, route/alignment surveys and setting-out as per drawings.

• Set out road centerline, formation level, embankment, subgrade and pavement layers.
• Conduct surveys for culverts, bridges, drains and other highway structures.
• Take levels, cross-sections and measurements for earthwork and construction activities.

• Verify line, level, slope and dimensions against drawings and specs.
• Coordinate daily survey needs with project team and subcontractors.
• Maintain survey instruments calibration and records.

Job Description Surveyor | HAM Road Project

Position: Surveyor
Project: HAM Road Project – Telangana
Department: Civil / Construction
Location: Project Site, Telangana
Experience: 3–8 years in Highway/Road Projects

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out topographical surveys, route/alignment surveys and setting-out works as per approved drawings.
• Establish and maintain benchmarks (BM), control points and reference coordinates throughout the project.
• Set out road centerline, formation level, embankment, subgrade, GSB, WMM and pavement layers.
• Conduct surveys and setting-out for culverts, bridges, drains, CD works, retaining structures and other highway structures.
• Take accurate levels, cross-sections and measurements for earthwork and various construction activities.
• Prepare survey reports, level books, cross-sections, quantity measurements and as-built drawings/data.
• Check line, level, slope, camber, gradient and dimensions of construction works against approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor cutting, filling, earthwork quantities and finished levels and provide necessary data to the billing/QS team.
• Coordinate with DPM, Project Manager, Site Engineers, QA/QC and subcontractors for daily survey requirements.
• Verify subcontractor measurements and assist in preparation of RA bills and work measurements.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/DGPS and other survey instruments.
• Maintain proper records of survey data, coordinates, levels and as-built measurements.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and immediately report them to the concerned engineer.
• Ensure all survey activities comply with MORTH specifications, approved drawings, project quality requirements and safety procedures.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Total Station, Auto Level and DGPS/GPS.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and preparation/interpretation of survey drawings.
• Good understanding of highway alignment, earthwork, pavement and structures.
• Ability to calculate levels, gradients, coordinates, areas and quantities accurately.
• Good knowledge of MORTH specifications and highway construction practices.
• Strong numerical, documentation and site-coordination skills.

Qualification: Diploma / ITI / Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant Surveying qualification.

Preferred: Candidates with experience in National Highway / State Highway / HAM / EPC road projects will be preferred.
