Job summary

CLF Projects Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Surveyor to perform surveying and setting-out for railway infrastructure and civil construction projects across Pan India.

You will ensure accurate measurements, alignment, levels, coordinates and site setting-out in collaboration with engineering and project teams. The role requires 5+ years of surveying experience, proficiency with Total Station, Auto Level and GPS/DGPS, and the ability to work on multiple sites nationwide.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in surveying and site execution.
  • Experience in Railway Projects will be preferred/required based on project requirements.
  • Candidates with hands-on experience in railway infrastructure surveying will be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed surveying and setting-out activities for railway and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Establish and maintain benchmarks, reference points, coordinates, and control points at project sites.
  • Conduct surveys for earthwork, bridges, structures, roads, drainage, and other civil works.
  • Carry out setting out of foundations, structures, alignments, levels, and other construction activities as per approved drawings.
  • Conduct pre-construction, ongoing, and as-built surveys.
  • Take accurate measurements and prepare survey reports and records.
  • Verify line, level, alignment, coordinates, and dimensions during construction.
  • Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and construction teams regarding survey requirements.
  • Use surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/DGPS, and other relevant equipment.
  • Ensure surveying instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and used correctly.
  • Assist engineers in checking quantities and measurements based on survey data.
  • Prepare and maintain survey drawings, field books, measurement records, and other documentation.
  • Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and report them to the concerned Engineer.
  • Support preparation of as-built drawings and final project documentation.
  • Ensure survey work is carried out accurately and within project timelines.
  • Coordinate with railway authorities, consultants, and project teams during joint surveys and inspections whenever required.

About the Role

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of surveying and setting-out techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Total Station and Auto Level.
  • Knowledge of GPS/DGPS and other modern surveying equipment will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of civil and railway construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of coordinates, levels, benchmarks, alignment, and measurements.
  • Good understanding of earthwork, bridges, structures, and railway infrastructure works.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging site conditions and meet project deadlines.
  • Willingness to work at Pan India project locations.
Qualification

Diploma in Civil Engineering / Surveying / Relevant Engineering Discipline.

Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in surveying and site execution.
  • Experience in Railway Projects will be preferred/required based on project requirements.
  • Candidates with hands-on experience in railway infrastructure surveying will be preferred.
