TÜV SÜD is seeking a Civil Survey Engineer in Tamil Nadu to conduct site surveys, collect field measurements, and ensure alignment with approved drawings. You will function as part of a project team, performing setting-out, leveling, and data documentation at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Qualification requires civil site surveying and measurement techniques knowledge.
• Reading civil drawings and layouts.
• Experience with surveying instruments (Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/DGPS).

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and collect accurate field measurements.
• Carry out setting-out and alignment per drawings and project requirements.
• Measure levels, distances, elevations, and coordinates at sites.
• Prepare and maintain survey reports, field records, sketches, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with Civil Engineers, Project Engineers, Contractors, and site personnel.
• Verify site conditions against approved drawings and identify discrepancies.
• Assist in monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of survey data and measurements.
• Follow safety and quality requirements while carrying out site activities.

Job description

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience, or
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and collect accurate field measurements and data.
• Carry out setting-out and alignment activities as per approved drawings and project requirements.
• Perform measurements of levels, distances, elevations, and coordinates at project sites.
• Prepare and maintain survey reports, field records, sketches, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with Civil Engineers, Project Engineers, Contractors, and other site personnel.
• Verify site conditions against approved drawings and identify any discrepancies.
• Assist in monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of surveying instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of survey data and measurements.
• Follow all applicable safety and quality requirements while carrying out site activities.
